Looking to buy a new Kia Telluride? Good luck, since they’re flying off dealership lots! In Sacramento, the best selling cars of 2020 sells in an average of only 11.9 days, a new study found. Overall, the average new car remains on a lot in the Sacramento metropolitan area, including Stockton and Modesto, for 76.7 days before it is purchased, according to the latest iSeeCars analysis.
iSeeCars analyzed 9 million recent new and used car sales across the United States to determine which vehicles most quickly sold from dealer lots. The average used car, meanwhile, takes 45.3 days to sell. However, certain new vehicles sell far quicker than that average, the study showed. There are many reasons a car flies off a dealer’s lot. Including buzz surrounding a new model, a vehicle’s popularity with consumers, or production shutdowns in the pandemic’s wake, the study concluded.
